What is the name of the fictional town where Pixar’s Cars is mainly set?
Answer
Radiator Springs
Answer
Radiator Springs
Pixar’s Cars is mainly set in the fictional town of Radiator Springs.
Radiator Springs is a small community on historic U.S. Route 66 in the American Southwest. Lightning McQueen reaches the town after becoming separated from Mack and accidentally damaging the road. The story then follows his relationships with the town’s residents and his gradual change in attitude.
The town’s design draws on real Route 66 landscapes and communities, including desert scenery, roadside businesses, and landmarks associated with the historic highway. Sally explains that Radiator Springs once benefited from travelers before a newer interstate bypassed it.
Radiator Springs is not the same place as Ornament Valley, the surrounding region shown in the films and related attractions. It is also distinct from Carburetor County, the fictional county in which the town is located. The town’s central businesses include Flo’s V8 Café, Luigi’s tire shop, and the Cozy Cone Motel.
