Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes place primarily on the fictional Sejm Island.
The island is the setting for the imprisonment of Claire Redfield and Moira Burton after their TerraSave event is attacked. It contains abandoned facilities, prison areas, mining locations, and other dangerous environments where the protagonists investigate the origins of the outbreak and the motives of the Overseer.
Sejm Island is also revisited six months later in Barry Burton’s campaign. Barry arrives while searching for Claire and Moira, and he is accompanied by Natalia Korda. This two-period structure lets the game present related events from different viewpoints and time frames.
Sejm Island should not be confused with Rockfort Island, the setting of much of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, or Sheena Island, which appears in Resident Evil Survivor. Those islands belong to separate stories and have different outbreaks and characters.
