Answer
Cormoran Strike
Answer
Cormoran Strike
Cormoran Strike is the fictional detective created by J.K. Rowling as Robert Galbraith.
Strike first appears in The Cuckoo’s Calling, published in 2013. He is a private investigator in London and a former Special Investigation Branch investigator in the British Army. After losing part of a leg in Afghanistan, he faces physical pain and financial difficulties while taking on difficult cases.
His professional partnership with Robin Ellacott is central to the series. Robin begins as a temporary secretary but develops into an important investigative colleague. Their relationship evolves across the books without making Strike’s cases secondary to the character drama.
The novels are written as contemporary crime fiction rather than fantasy. Rowling’s authorship was initially concealed by the Robert Galbraith pseudonym, but the books are now widely identified with her. The BBC television adaptation, Strike, began in 2017 and stars Tom Burke as Strike.
