What is the name of the fictional Arizona town in Pixar's Cars?

The story behind the answer

The fictional Arizona town in Pixar's Cars is called Radiator Springs.

Radiator Springs is the central setting of the 2006 film. Lightning McQueen reaches the town after accidentally damaging the road and being ordered to repair it before leaving. The community includes Mater, Sally Carrera, Doc Hudson, Ramone, Flo, Luigi, Guido, and other residents who gradually teach Lightning the value of friendship and belonging.

The town was inspired by real communities along U.S. Route 66, particularly places affected when newer highways diverted traffic away from the historic road. Its businesses and landmarks reflect roadside Americana, including a service station, a diner, a motel, and a courthouse. The fictional location is described as being in Carburetor County, Arizona.

Radiator Springs is not the same as Ornament Valley, the nearby area shown in the film and later Cars stories. The town's revival becomes an important part of the ending, when Lightning chooses to remain connected to its residents.
