What is the name of the company where George Jetson works?

George Jetson works at Spacely Sprockets, more fully known as Spacely Space Sprockets.

The company is owned by George's demanding boss, Cosmo G. Spacely, and produces futuristic equipment described broadly as sprockets and other high-tech components. George's job is famously portrayed as both ordinary and absurdly futuristic: he operates machinery in a world filled with flying cars, robot labor, and automated conveniences.

Spacely Sprockets is one of the show's recurring sources of conflict. Spacely frequently pressures, berates, or threatens George, while the rival company Cogswell Cogs creates additional workplace competition. The contrast between advanced technology and old-fashioned office anxiety is a central joke of the series.

The company name is sometimes shortened in conversation to “Spacely Sprockets,” while some references use “Spacely Space Sprockets.” Both identify George's workplace; it should not be confused with Cogswell Cogs, the rival business.
