What animation studio produced The Jetsons?
Answer
Hanna-Barbera
Answer
Hanna-Barbera
The animation studio that produced The Jetsons was Hanna-Barbera Productions.
Created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the series imagined a comic, futuristic counterpart to their earlier Stone Age hit, The Flintstones. The Jetsons premiered on ABC on September 23, 1962, and its original prime-time run consisted of 24 episodes.
The show later returned with new syndicated episodes produced from 1985 to 1987, bringing its total to 75 episodes across three seasons. That later production history can cause confusion, because Warner Bros. eventually handled distribution and home-video releases, but Warner Bros. was not the studio that originally produced the series.
Hanna-Barbera also produced other major animated programs, including The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and Jonny Quest. The Jetsons remains one of the company's defining productions, known for its Orbit City setting, elevated homes, robotic technology, and Space Age visual style.
