What is the name of the catchy song from The Lego Movie?

The catchy song from The Lego Movie is “Everything Is Awesome!!!” The upbeat track plays a major role in the film’s world, where Bricksburg’s citizens enthusiastically celebrate conformity, consumer culture, and following instructions.

The song was written by Shawn Patterson, Joshua Bartholomew, and Lisa Harriton, and performed by Tegan and Sara with The Lonely Island. Its relentlessly cheerful sound is deliberately comic: the lyrics present a supposedly perfect society while the story gradually reveals the problems beneath that surface.

The song became one of the movie’s signature features and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. It is often confused with unrelated feel-good hits such as Pharrell Williams’s “Happy,” but “Everything Is Awesome!!!” was created specifically for The Lego Movie.
