What is the name of the antagonist organization in Resident Evil 6?

Neo-Umbrella is the antagonist organization in Resident Evil 6.

Neo-Umbrella is a bioterrorist group led by Carla Radames, who operates under the influence of Derek C. Simmons. The organization uses the C-virus to carry out attacks and create powerful biological weapons, making it a central force across the game’s interconnected campaigns.

Resident Evil 6 presents four main campaigns featuring Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jake Muller, and Ada Wong. Their stories overlap around the global bioterrorist crisis, while Neo-Umbrella’s operations connect several of the game’s major events.

The name is easy to confuse with Umbrella itself, the corporation responsible for the earlier T-virus experiments. Umbrella had already been dismantled before Resident Evil 6. Neo-Umbrella is a later group that adopts the name and imagery while pursuing its own agenda.
