What is the name of the 2024 biographical film about Bob Marley?

The 2024 biographical film about Bob Marley is titled Bob Marley: One Love.

The film is an American biographical musical drama directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, with Kingsley Ben-Adir portraying Marley and Lashana Lynch playing Rita Marley. Rather than covering every period of Marley’s life, it concentrates mainly on his rise to international prominence in the mid-1970s and the events surrounding his return to Jamaica.

Bob Marley: One Love premiered in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 23, 2024, in the city where Marley was born. Paramount Pictures released it theatrically in the United States on February 14, 2024. Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley were among its producers, giving the project a close family connection.

The title comes from Marley’s famous message of unity, but the film’s name can be confused with Marley, the 2012 documentary directed by Kevin Macdonald. “Legend” is also associated with Marley’s best-known compilation album, not this biopic. The movie’s soundtrack included music inspired by the Wailers’ catalog.
