What is the name of Susie Carmichael's mother?

The name of Susie Carmichael’s mother is Lucy Carmichael.

Dr. Lucille “Lucy” Carmichael is a physician and the mother of Susie Carmichael in Rugrats. She is married to Randy Carmichael, Susie’s father, and is presented as one of the capable, professional adults in the Carmichael family.

Lucy is more than a background parent: the series establishes her medical career through story details, including her work as a doctor and her role in delivering Dil Pickles. Her professional confidence contrasts with the babies’ imaginative misunderstandings of adult life.

A common mix-up is confusing Lucy with Susie’s father, Randy, who is a screenwriter in the original series. The Carmichaels later appear in All Grown Up!, where Lucy remains a doctor and Susie is shown as an older child.
