What is the name of J.K. Rowling’s fictional detective series protagonist?
Answer
Cormoran Strike
Answer
Cormoran Strike
Cormoran Strike is the fictional detective at the center of J.K. Rowling’s crime novel series.
Rowling writes the series under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Cormoran Strike is a private investigator and former military police investigator who operates in London. Robin Ellacott becomes his secretary and later an important investigative partner, giving the books a continuing professional and personal storyline.
The first novel, The Cuckoo’s Calling, introduced Strike in 2013. Subsequent books developed cases involving murder, blackmail, organized crime and other forms of serious wrongdoing. The books are written as detective mysteries rather than fantasy novels.
Readers sometimes answer “Robert Galbraith” because that name appears on the covers, but Galbraith is the author pseudonym, not the character. Harry Potter is Rowling’s best-known protagonist, but he belongs to a separate series and genre.
