What is the name of Elden Ring’s final boss?

The story behind the answer

Elden Ring’s final boss is the Elden Beast.

The Elden Beast is fought at the end of the main storyline, immediately after the battle with Radagon of the Golden Order. It is described as the vassal beast of the Greater Will and is presented as the living embodiment of order associated with the Elden Ring.

The encounter is therefore a two-phase final battle rather than a single opponent from the start. Defeating Radagon transitions directly into the Elden Beast fight, and players must complete both phases to finish the game’s main ending sequence.

Radagon is often called the final boss because he appears first and is a central figure in the game’s lore. However, the canonical final opponent of the base game is the Elden Beast. The battle takes place in the Elden Throne area after the player reaches the Erdtree’s interior.
