What is the maximum number of Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears charges in Elden Ring?

The story behind the answer

In Elden Ring, the maximum number of combined Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears charges is 14.

Players increase their total charges by finding Golden Seeds, which are commonly located near small glowing Erdtree saplings. The game begins with fewer charges, and additional Golden Seeds gradually raise the limit until the character reaches 14. The player then chooses how those charges are divided between red healing flasks and blue FP-restoring flasks.

This is a combined limit, not 14 charges of each flask. For example, a character might carry 10 Crimson Tears charges and 4 Cerulean Tears charges, depending on build and play style. Sacred Tears improve how much each flask restores, but they do not increase the number of uses.

The distinction matters for combat planning. Strength-focused characters often favor more healing charges, while spellcasters may assign more charges to FP recovery. Both upgrades are handled from the Flask menu at Sites of Grace.
