Redview County
Answer
Redview County
The fictional setting of Need for Speed Rivals is Redview County.
Released in 2013, Need for Speed Rivals takes place in the fictional Redview County, an open-world region where street racers and police units compete in escalating high-speed pursuits. Players can choose either side of the conflict: the racer campaign follows the character known as Zephyr, while the police campaign centers on a newly initiated officer.
Redview County is designed as a composite American landscape rather than a direct copy of one real location. Its northern areas evoke California coastal towns, its eastern forests resemble northern California redwood country, and its snowy mountains draw on the Rocky Mountains. The southern desert area recalls the Grand Canyon region.
The map contains more than 100 miles of road, with jumps, speed traps, shortcuts and race routes spread across its varied terrain. Players often confuse Redview County with Seacrest County from Hot Pursuit, but those are separate fictional settings. Palm City belongs to Heat, while Fortune Valley is the setting of Payback.
