What is Lightning McQueen’s hometown in Pixar’s Cars movies?
Answer
Radiator Springs
Answer
Radiator Springs
Lightning McQueen’s hometown in Pixar’s Cars movies is Radiator Springs.
Radiator Springs is a fictional town on historic U.S. Route 66 in the American Southwest. Lightning first arrives there after getting separated from Mack and damaging the road, and the town becomes the place where he learns cooperation, friendship, and local history.
The town’s residents include Mater, Sally Carrera, Doc Hudson, Luigi, Guido, Ramone, Flo, and Fillmore. Sally helps Lightning understand how the town declined after Interstate 40 diverted traffic away from Route 66.
Radiator Springs remains Lightning’s home in Cars 2 and Cars 3, even when much of the action takes place elsewhere. It is not the same as the real Route 66 towns that inspired its scenery, including locations in Arizona, Oklahoma, and California.
