What is Beyoncé's full first and middle name?

Beyoncé's full first and middle name is Beyoncé Giselle. She was born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas.

Her first name was inspired by her mother's maiden name, Beyincé. The spelling was changed to Beyoncé, including the accented final é, when she was named.

Beyoncé later used her married surname, Carter, in her personal life after marrying rapper Jay-Z in 2008. Professionally, however, she has remained widely known by her first name alone. Her sister, Solange, is also a recording artist, but Beyoncé Giselle is the name associated with Beyoncé's birth records and early career biographies.
