Wunmi Mosaku won the 2026 BAFTA for Supporting Actress for her performance in *Sinners*.
Mosaku played Annie, a central figure in Ryan Coogler’s period horror film about twin brothers who return to Mississippi in 1932 and become entangled with a supernatural threat. Her performance helped make *Sinners* one of the night’s major winners: the film also took BAFTAs for Original Screenplay, written by Coogler, and Original Score, composed by Ludwig Göransson.
The category included strong contenders from several prominent films, including Teyana Taylor for *One Battle After Another*, Odessa A’zion for *Marty Supreme*, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for *Sentimental Value*, Carey Mulligan for *The Ballad of Wallis Island* and Emily Watson for *Hamnet*. Mosaku’s win is also notable in BAFTA history because she became the first Black performer to win both a film BAFTA and a television BAFTA.
