The new Honmoon at the end of KPop Demon Hunters is rainbow-colored.
The rainbow Honmoon appears after Rumi, Mira, and Zoey reunite and defeat Gwi-Ma and the remaining Saja Boys. Earlier in the story, the hunters hope to strengthen the barrier into a Golden Honmoon, which would permanently banish demons.
The final rainbow form reflects the resolution of the film’s central conflict. Rumi stops treating her demonic heritage as something that must be hidden or erased, while Mira and Zoey accept her again as part of their team.
The color is therefore connected to the story’s themes of identity and acceptance. It is not the same as the Golden Honmoon that Rumi originally pursues. The rainbow barrier is created after the trio’s reconciliation and the sacrifice of Jinu.
