What alias does Yelena Belova use in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Yelena Belova uses the alias Black Widow in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film identifies her as the successor to her sister Natasha Romanoff, who previously carried that identity in the MCU.

Yelena was trained in the Red Room to become a Black Widow assassin. Florence Pugh first introduced the character in Black Widow, where Yelena’s relationship with Natasha established her family history and her connection to the title.

In Brand New Day, Yelena is also described as a member of the New Avengers. Her role is not simply a cameo: Spider-Man consults her for intelligence while investigating attacks connected to the Department of Damage Control. This makes her alias especially significant because it represents both Natasha’s legacy and Yelena’s own place in the superhero community.
