Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published in 2007.
The seventh and final Harry Potter novel was released on 21 July 2007. It follows Harry, Ron and Hermione as they leave Hogwarts to search for Voldemort’s Horcruxes, while the conflict between Voldemort and the wizarding resistance reaches its conclusion.
The book was published simultaneously in several English-speaking markets and attracted enormous queues and midnight-release events. It became one of the fastest-selling books ever recorded at the time, with millions of copies sold immediately after publication.
The year is sometimes confused with the film release dates. The film adaptation was split into two parts: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 arrived in 2010, and Part 2 followed in 2011. The novel itself therefore predates both films by several years.
