In which United States city did Bob Marley die?

The story behind the answer

Bob Marley died in Miami, Florida, in the United States. He died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital on May 11, 1981, after complications from acral lentiginous melanoma, a rare form of skin cancer.

The cancer was first identified after Marley developed a dark spot beneath the nail of his right big toe. Doctors recommended amputation, but he declined because of his Rastafarian beliefs and concerns about his ability to perform. The illness later spread through his body while he continued recording and touring as his condition allowed.

Marley became seriously ill while traveling home to Jamaica from Germany. His flight was diverted to Miami, where he received emergency medical care. He was 36 years old. A frequent mistake is saying he died in Jamaica, because he was Jamaican and was buried there; instead, his remains were taken home after his death for a state funeral and burial in Nine Mile.
