In which fictional city is most of Resident Evil 2 set?
Answer
Raccoon City
Answer
Raccoon City
Most of Resident Evil 2 is set in the fictional American city of Raccoon City.
The game begins as the city’s population is overwhelmed by an outbreak caused by Umbrella’s biological weapons. Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield arrive separately and try to survive while searching for escape routes and missing people.
Important locations include the Raccoon City Police Department, an underground sewer system, and Umbrella’s secret NEST research facility. William Birkin’s G-virus and the T-virus outbreak are central to the events.
Raccoon City also appears in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and other related stories. It is not the same setting as Dulvey, Louisiana, which is the main location of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The city’s destruction becomes a major turning point in the series’ wider history.
