J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter film series concluded in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
Warner Bros. released the film in July 2011. It adapts the second half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh novel, and depicts the final confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson returned as Harry, Ron and Hermione.
The film was the eighth movie in the main Harry Potter film series. The final novel was divided into two films so that more of its plot could be included. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 was released in 2010, while Part 2 completed the story the following year.
The film became one of the highest-grossing movies of its time and received positive reviews. It is separate from the later Fantastic Beasts films, which are set earlier in the wizarding world.
