In what California city was Steve Jobs born in 1955?
Answer
San Francisco
Answer
San Francisco
Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, in 1955.
He was born on February 24, 1955, to Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Schieble. Soon afterward, he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, who raised him in the nearby Santa Clara Valley.
The location is sometimes confused with Los Altos, where Jobs spent much of his childhood and where the Jobs family home later became associated with Apple history. San Francisco was his birthplace, while Los Altos was an important setting for his youth and early work with Steve Wozniak.
The region later became globally known as Silicon Valley. Jobs’s childhood exposure to electronics in the area helped shape his interest in technology, although Apple itself was founded farther south in Los Altos and Cupertino.
