In what California city did Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak first meet through Bill Fernandez?

The story behind the answer

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak first met in Cupertino, California, through their mutual friend Bill Fernandez.

Fernandez attended Homestead High School with Jobs and knew Wozniak, who was older and attended the University of Colorado at the time. He introduced the two young electronics enthusiasts around 1971.

Jobs and Wozniak later worked together on electronics projects and became involved in the Homebrew Computer Club. Their partnership eventually led to the founding of Apple Computer in 1976.

The meeting is often associated with Silicon Valley broadly, but Cupertino is the specific city named in accounts of their introduction. Cupertino later became internationally associated with Apple’s headquarters.
