In Toy Story 3, the daycare director is Lotso.
Lotso is a large pink teddy bear who smells of strawberries and appears to run Sunnyside Daycare. His friendly exterior initially makes the daycare seem like a safe new home for Andy’s toys, but the toys later discover that he controls the facility through intimidation and assigns unwanted toys to the Caterpillar Room.
Lotso’s full name is Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear. He is voiced in the English version by Ned Beatty. His story is connected to a painful abandonment experience involving his former owner, Daisy, although the film presents that history as part of his explanation rather than an excuse for his actions.
Big Baby is another toy at Sunnyside and serves as Lotso’s enforcer, but he is not the daycare’s director. Ken is a resident toy and Barbie’s companion, not the leader of the facility.
