In 'Toy Story 2', what is the name of the cowgirl doll?

In “Toy Story 2,” the cowgirl doll is named Jessie. She is a spirited, red-haired toy who joins Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other toys after Woody discovers her in Al’s Toy Barn.

Jessie was once part of a popular Western-themed toy collection with Woody and the Prospector, also known as Stinky Pete. Her backstory is revealed through the song “When She Loved Me,” which shows how her former owner, Emily, eventually outgrew her and left her in storage. That experience explains Jessie’s fear of being abandoned and makes her initially suspicious of human owners.

The film was released by Pixar in 1999 and expands the world established in the 1995 original. Jessie is voiced by Joan Cusack in the English version, while Tom Hanks voices Woody and Tim Allen voices Buzz Lightyear. “Little Bo Peep” is another cowgirl-themed toy associated with the franchise, but she is Woody’s romantic interest in the first film, not the cowgirl doll introduced in “Toy Story 2.”
