In “The LEGO Movie,” the princess who is a Master Builder is Unikitty. She is a colorful unicorn-cat hybrid who lives in Cloud Cuckoo Land, a bright and seemingly perfect realm above the ordinary LEGO worlds.
Princess Unikitty is voiced by Alison Brie and joins Emmet and the other Master Builders in resisting Lord Business’s plan to freeze the LEGO universe with the weapon known as the Kragle. Although she normally appears cheerful and energetic, she has a powerful temper that emerges when her friends or home are threatened.
Unikitty is a Master Builder because she can imagine and create objects from LEGO pieces without following ordinary instructions. This distinguishes her from Emmet, who initially believes he is completely ordinary, and from Wyldstyle, an experienced human Master Builder. Batman is also a Master Builder, but he is a superhero rather than the princess character. Unikitty later returns in “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” as Princess Unikitty and Ultrakatty.
