Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Answer
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad is the protagonist of the first Assassin's Creed game and serves as a Master Assassin.
The game follows Altaïr in 1191, during the Third Crusade. After failing an important mission, he is demoted and must regain his rank by investigating and assassinating influential figures in the Holy Land.
Altaïr belongs to the historical Assassin Brotherhood, called the Hashshashin in some historical accounts and fictionalized through the game's lore. His mentor is Al Mualim, the leader of the Brotherhood in Masyaf.
Players sometimes confuse Altaïr with Ezio Auditore, the hero of Assassin's Creed II and its two direct follow-ups. Altaïr also appears in later series entries, including Assassin's Creed: Revelations, which explores his later life and legacy.
