In 'The Emperor's New Groove', what animal does Yzma turn Emperor Kuzco into?

The story behind the answer

In “The Emperor’s New Groove,” Yzma turns Emperor Kuzco into a llama.

Yzma plans to poison Kuzco and seize control of the Incan Empire, but Kronk accidentally selects the wrong potion from her laboratory. Instead of killing the emperor, the mixture transforms him into a llama. Kuzco survives, though he is left stranded in a sack and eventually lands in the cart of village leader Pacha.

The answer is a llama, not a cow, frog, or donkey. Kuzco’s llama form drives the film’s central comedy: he must cooperate with Pacha, the very person whose village he had planned to demolish for a lavish summer home. Their journey gradually changes Kuzco from a selfish ruler into a more responsible leader.

The 2000 Disney film was inspired by ancient Peruvian and Incan culture, although its story and characters are fictional. Kuzco is voiced by David Spade, Yzma by Eartha Kitt, Kronk by Patrick Warburton, and Pacha by John Goodman.
