Sora was the last fighter added as DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
Sora, the protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series, was released in October 2021 as the sixth and final fighter in Fighters Pass Volume 2. His inclusion followed Min Min, Steve, Sephiroth, Pyra and Mythra, and Kazuya Mishima. It also marked the completion of Ultimate’s planned post-launch fighter lineup.
Sora’s arrival was especially notable because Kingdom Hearts combines Square Enix properties with Disney characters, making licensing and rights agreements unusually complex. His moveset draws from the Kingdom Hearts games, including the Keyblade, aerial mobility, elemental spells, and recognizable visual effects. His inclusion also added the Hollow Bastion stage and music from the series.
The neighboring answers are all earlier Volume 2 additions: Sephiroth arrived in December 2020, Pyra and Mythra in March 2021, and Kazuya in June 2021. Sora’s release in October 2021 closed the pass and ended Ultimate’s fighter additions.
