Much of Resident Evil: Revelations takes place aboard the cruise ship Queen Zenobia.
The Queen Zenobia is an abandoned luxury vessel in the Mediterranean Sea. Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani investigate it while searching for Chris Redfield, and the ship becomes a maze of cabins, decks, laboratories, and infected areas. Its isolation gives the game a strong maritime survival-horror atmosphere.
The ship's name is drawn from Zenobia, the third-century queen of the Palmyrene Empire. In the game, the vessel is linked to the Terragrigia Panic and to experiments involving the T-Abyss virus. Its polished passenger spaces contrast with the biological contamination spreading through the ship.
Queen Dido is another important ship in the game and is the source of a common mix-up. It is connected with Terragrigia's destruction, but the main exploration setting is Queen Zenobia. The game was first released for Nintendo 3DS in 2012.
