In Pixar’s Toy Story, the moving company that helps Andy’s family relocate is Eggman Movers.
The moving company appears during the final act, when Woody and Buzz race to catch up with the moving truck carrying Andy’s belongings. Its trucks and workers form the practical backdrop for the toys’ desperate attempt to return to their owner before the family leaves.
The company’s name is a small production detail rather than a major story point. Pixar films often place readable company names, logos and signs in the background, giving viewers extra details to notice on repeat viewings. Eggman Movers is therefore easy to confuse with the film’s fictional Pizza Planet restaurant chain, which is associated with the famous delivery truck.
Toy Story opened in United States theaters on November 22, 1995. Its moving-day premise helps turn the rivalry between Woody and Buzz into a time-sensitive adventure, because Andy’s family is leaving town.
