In Pixar's Cars, which song does Rascal Flatts perform over the closing credits?

Rascal Flatts perform “Life Is a Highway” over the closing credits of Pixar's Cars.

The country group recorded a new version of the song for the 2006 film. Tom Cochrane originally released “Life Is a Highway” in 1991, and Rascal Flatts' energetic cover became one of the most recognizable musical elements associated with Cars.

The soundtrack also includes songs such as “Real Gone” by Sheryl Crow and “Our Town” by James Taylor, which can cause mix-ups when people remember the film's music. “Life Is a Highway” is especially closely linked with the movie because its road imagery matches the story's journey across the United States and McQueen's changing view of small-town life. The song was also featured prominently in Cars trailers and later franchise marketing.
