In Pixar's Cars, which race car is voiced by Owen Wilson?

The story behind the answer

In Pixar's Cars, Owen Wilson voices the race car Lightning McQueen.

Lightning is the film's ambitious rookie competitor, introduced as a fast but self-centered racer chasing the Piston Cup. After damaging Radiator Springs' main road, he is ordered to repair it before leaving town. His experiences with Doc Hudson, Sally Carrera, Mater, and the other residents gradually change his priorities.

Owen Wilson supplied the English voice for Lightning throughout the Cars trilogy. The character's number is 95, a reference associated with the year Pixar's first feature, Toy Story, was released. Lightning's racing design combines elements of stock cars and stylized animated automotive design.

The character is sometimes confused with Jackson Storm, the technologically advanced rival introduced in Cars 3. Storm is Lightning's younger competitor, not his voice actor's role. Lightning also appears in the Cars short films, video games, theme-park attractions, and merchandise.
