In Pixar's Cars, which actor voices the tow truck Mater?

In Pixar's Cars, Larry the Cable Guy voices the tow truck Mater.

Mater is a rusty tow truck who lives in Radiator Springs and quickly becomes Lightning McQueen's best friend. His enthusiastic personality, unusual stories, and distinctive Southern-style speech make him one of the film's most recognizable characters.

Larry the Cable Guy is the stage name of comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney. The performance uses the comedian's established voice and country-comedy persona, but Mater is an original character created for the Cars world.

Mater's role grows beyond comic relief. He helps McQueen understand the value of friendship and remains loyal when other characters doubt the rookie racer. Mater later receives a larger spy-comedy storyline in Cars 2 and leads the animated spin-off series Mater's Tall Tales.
