In Pixar’s Cars, what is the name of Radiator Springs’ diner?

The story behind the answer

Radiator Springs’ diner is called Flo’s V8 Cafe in Pixar’s Cars.

Flo’s V8 Cafe is operated by Flo, a turquoise show car who serves “motor oil” to the residents and visitors of Radiator Springs. The diner is one of the town’s landmarks and helps establish the playful idea that Cars’ vehicles have their own versions of human businesses and food culture.

Flo’s character design is associated with the 1950s Motorama era, and her catchphrase “You’re welcome” became part of the film’s comic rhythm. The cafe’s name also references V8 engines, a common automotive configuration and a fitting pun for a restaurant in a world populated by cars.

The cafe should not be confused with Luigi’s tire shop, Ramone’s paint and body-art business, or Lizzie’s curio shop. Those are separate Radiator Springs locations. Flo’s V8 Cafe is specifically the town’s diner and is also featured in later Cars media.
