Jackson Storm is the main rival racer threatening Lightning McQueen’s career in Pixar’s Cars 3.
Storm represents a new generation of racers built around advanced simulation, data analysis, and cutting-edge performance. He quickly defeats established competitors, including McQueen, and becomes the clearest symbol of how quickly the racing world is changing.
Unlike McQueen, who developed through experience and relationships, Storm is portrayed as highly confident in technology and his own measurable advantages. His aggressive attitude increases the pressure on McQueen, who must decide whether to retire or find a new way to compete.
Jackson Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer. His black-and-blue design contrasts with McQueen’s familiar red appearance. Storm is not the same character as Chick Hicks, McQueen’s principal rival in the first film, or Francesco Bernoulli, the Italian racer featured in Cars 2.
