In Pixar's Cars 3, what is the name of Lightning McQueen's young racing rival?

Jackson Storm is Lightning McQueen's young racing rival in Pixar's Cars 3.

Storm is a sleek, technologically advanced next-generation racer who quickly dominates the Piston Cup circuit. His speed and confidence make him a direct threat to Lightning McQueen, whose career is entering a difficult period as newer competitors replace older racers.

Armie Hammer voices Jackson Storm. The character represents a new generation of racing technology, including advanced aerodynamics, data analysis, and high-performance training. His design contrasts with Lightning's more traditional race-car identity and helps establish the film's theme of change in sport.

Jackson Storm is not the same character as Chick Hicks, Lightning's principal rival in the first Cars. Chick is an aggressive veteran racer, while Storm is a younger competitor from a newer technological era. Cars 3 follows Lightning's effort to compete with Storm and decide what his own future should be.
