In Pixar's Cars 2, Francesco Bernoulli represents Italy.
Francesco is an Italian open-wheel racer competing in the World Grand Prix. His design, accent, team identity, and home connection to Porto Corsa establish his national representation within the film's fictional international series.
Porto Corsa is the Italian location used for the second World Grand Prix race. It is a fictional seaside city rather than a real Italian circuit. Cars 2 also features racers associated with other countries, including Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States. Francesco's nationality is distinct from his English-language voice actor, John Turturro, who is American.
