In Kung Fu Panda 4, the villain threatening the Valley of Peace is known as the Chameleon.
The Chameleon is a powerful shape-shifting reptile who can imitate other creatures and steal their kung fu abilities. She seeks to use the Staff of Wisdom to access the spirit realm and take the skills of formidable kung fu masters.
Her powers make her different from earlier villains such as Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and Kai. Those antagonists rely on physical mastery, engineered weapons, or supernatural chi techniques, while the Chameleon combines transformation with the ability to copy stolen fighting abilities.
The Chameleon is the principal antagonist of the 2024 film. In the original English version, she is voiced by Viola Davis. Her title is used as her character name, so answers such as “a chameleon” describe her species but do not give the film’s canonical name.
