In Kung Fu Panda 2, the villainous peacock who rules Gongmen City is Lord Shen.
Lord Shen is the heir to the throne of Gongmen City and the main antagonist of the second film. He develops powerful cannons and intends to use them to conquer China, making him a threat unlike the hand-to-hand fighters in the first film.
Shen’s history is closely connected to Po. A prophecy warns that a black-and-white warrior will defeat him, so Shen orders an attack on the panda population. Po survives as a baby, but the event leaves him with fragmented memories that return during the story.
Gary Oldman provides Shen’s English voice. The character is a white peacock with red and black plumage, and his elegant appearance contrasts with his authoritarian ambitions. His defeat comes after Po learns to achieve inner peace and redirect the cannon fire rather than overpowering Shen physically.
