In Elden Ring, the Godfrey Icon increases the damage of charged spells and incantations. Its effect rewards players who hold a compatible spell until its charged version is released.
The talisman is obtained by defeating Godefroy the Grafted at the Golden Lineage Evergaol in southern Altus Plateau. That encounter is separate from the earlier fight against Godrick the Grafted in Stormveil Castle, even though both bosses belong to the same grafting-themed lineage.
The Godfrey Icon does not strengthen every form of magic equally. It applies to spells and incantations with chargeable casts, so players should check whether a particular ability supports charging. It is also distinct from talismans that improve sorcery or incantation potency generally, such as the Graven-Mass and Flock’s Canvas talismans.
