In Elden Ring, which sorceress is found in the Waypoint Ruins?

The story behind the answer

In Elden Ring, Sorceress Sellen is the sorcerer found beneath the Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave.

She sits in a cellar beyond the Mad Pumpkin Head boss and can become an early teacher of glintstone sorceries. Sellen’s shop expands when the player gives her sorcery scrolls, allowing several spells to be purchased without finding their original locations independently. Her presence makes Waypoint Ruins an important early destination for intelligence-focused characters.

Sellen also has a major questline connected to the history of primeval sorcery. The story involves the Academy of Raya Lucaria, Master Azur, Master Lusat, Jerren, and a later choice concerning her fate. Her dialogue therefore extends well beyond her initial role as a merchant.

She is not the same character as Ranni, who is a major demigod-linked figure, or Rennala, the Academy’s queen. Sellen’s title identifies her as a practitioner and teacher of sorcery rather than a ruler of the academy.
