In Elden Ring, Gurranq is the Beast Clergyman who resides in Bestial Sanctum. The sanctum is located in the northeastern part of Dragonbarrow, in the region of Caelid.
Gurranq accepts Deathroot brought by the player and rewards these offerings with bestial incantations, a seal, and other items. Deathroot can be found in several areas and is often connected to Tibia Mariner encounters or death-related enemies. The exchange gives the character a reason to explore obscure corners of the Lands Between.
Gurranq’s identity is connected to Maliketh, the Black Blade, creating one of the game’s major lore revelations. D, Beholder of Death helps introduce the Deathroot quest, but he is not the Beast Clergyman himself.
