In Elden Ring, a Sacred Tear increases the potency of every Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears.
Players find Sacred Tears at churches scattered across the Lands Between. Taking one to a Site of Grace allows the player to improve the amount of health or focus points restored by each flask use. The upgrade applies to both flask types rather than adding another charge.
Sacred Tears are often confused with Golden Seeds. Golden Seeds increase the number of flask charges available, while Sacred Tears make each charge restore more. Crystal Tears are different again: they are mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to create temporary effects.
The churches containing Sacred Tears are usually recognizable landmarks during exploration. Because the upgrades remain useful throughout the game, visiting these locations is an important part of improving flask efficiency.
