In Elden Ring, Mimic Tear is the spirit ash that creates a copy of the player character.
When summoned, the Mimic Tear takes the form of the player and uses the equipment, weapons, spells, and consumables available in the character’s loadout. It costs health rather than FP, making it accessible to characters with limited Mind investment.
The spirit ash is found in a locked room in Night’s Sacred Ground, an underground area reached through Nokron, Eternal City. A Stonesword Key is required to open the imp-seal room containing its ashes.
Mimic Tear’s effectiveness depends on the player’s setup. It does not copy the player’s level directly as a separate character; instead, it reproduces the current build and can use its own supply of certain consumables, which has made it especially popular for difficult fights.
