In Elden Ring, the dragon encountered at the Moonlight Altar is Glintstone Dragon Adula.

Adula is first encountered near the Cathedral of Manus Celes in Liurnia, where the dragon flees after losing part of the battle. The fight resumes at the Moonlight Altar, a high plateau reached during Ranni’s questline.

Defeating Adula awards the Dragon Heart and Adula’s Moonblade, a powerful sorcery that creates a glintstone greatsword and releases a broad frost wave. The reward links the boss to both dragon communion and moon-themed sorcery.

Adula is often mixed up with Glintstone Dragon Smarag, another Liurnia dragon associated with the Academy Glintstone Key. Smarag remains near the academy, while Adula’s later encounter belongs to the Moonlight Altar area.
