In Elden Ring, the colossal sword found in a carriage near Caelid’s southern road is the Greatsword.
The weapon is located in a chest inside a carriage in the Dragonbarrow area, along the road northwest of the Caelid map fragment. It is an early opportunity to obtain a very large strength-focused weapon, although meeting its requirements may require substantial investment.
The Greatsword is visually associated with the enormous swords of dark fantasy manga, but it is a distinct Elden Ring weapon rather than a boss remembrance weapon. Its name is simply “Greatsword,” without a unique title.
Players often confuse it with the Ruins Greatsword, Starscourge Greatsword, or Grafted Blade Greatsword. Those are separate colossal weapons with different locations, requirements, and abilities.
