In Elden Ring, the maximum number of spell memory slots a character can have is 10. Memory slots determine how many sorceries and incantations a character can equip simultaneously, rather than how much FP those spells consume.
Characters begin with a small number of slots, and additional slots are obtained from Memory Stones. These stones are found in locations such as converted towers and can also be purchased from certain merchants. The game’s interface displays the total capacity in the spell-equipment menu.
A common mix-up is confusing memory slots with Intelligence, Faith, or Mind. Intelligence and Faith affect spell requirements and power, while Mind mainly increases FP. Reaching 10 slots does not make every spell available: each spell still requires the appropriate attributes and a compatible staff or sacred seal.
